By adding a quick disconnect cable feature to the industry standard MMF ECD 200, MMF MCD240 and MMF System II cash drawers, MMF is making it possible to quickly change the printer interfaces of these drawers in the field. MMF Cash Drawer’s new Heritage Series ships with a field upgradeable enhancement designated as Kwick Kable®. This allows the Heritage drawers to be used with any standard POS receipt printer simply by using the appropriate printer cable. The MMF Kwick Kable interface reduces the number of cash drawer SKU’s needed to interface with various printer brands. The interface on all Heritage Series drawers can be changed in the field to USB or serial - and back again if necessary - effectively extending the life of the drawers as the application changes.
