QuickLink

The QuickLink, Compsee's 4th generation keyboard wedge technology is state-of-the-art in user program flexibility, interchangeability between terminals and in its low-profile, lightweight design.

As a keyboard wedge, the QuickLink simply plug in between the keyboard and terminal display.

As a gateway for external data input, the QuickLink can accept bar code data read from all popular input devices (wand, laser, CCD, etc.), data read from a magnetic stripe reader, or RS232 input from a portable data collection terminal, scale or slot scanner.

The input data to the QuickLink is decoded and transmitted to the display as if the data had been keyed in through the keyboard. The keyboard itself remains active at all times when the QuickLink is in-line.

If necessary, simple programming via menus or instructions downloaded from a PC allow the user to customize the unit to match the keyboard input required by their present software. The user can verify the input data to inhibit invalid data, as well as format the data to match screen input. The QuickLink is designed to eliminate as much as possible the manual entry of data.

Power Requirements
No auxiliary power supply is required. Power is consumed from the terminal except when the QuickLink is interfaced to a Wyse 30, Wyse 60, NCR 7052 or for RS232 output.
